Hi,
It's just under a month until the first Faversham Fringe performances of 2023! In this, our seventh year, we have a fantastic programme of shows, with 65 performances across the month — October 5th-28th. Our first shows start at 7pm on Thursday, October 5th, with the final one at 8:30pm on Sunday, October 28th.
We've got three fantastic venues this year: The Alexander Centre, the Arden Theatre, and The Guildhall. They're all in the town centre, within a few minutes of each other, so you can easily hop from show to show!
In response to your feedback, we're only running shows on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays this year. We've also made sure that all our venues are wheelchair accessible.
You can view our full programme online and printed copies will be available in town from tomorrow. We'll be outside The Alexander Centre from 11am (Sat 8th) with programmes, flyers and friendly faces, so please do pop along to say hello.
In the meantime, you can browse a nifty flip-book version on our website, as well as view the full listings for each show and book your tickets. Tickets will also be available from the venues during fringe week - for cash or card this time round.
Don’t worry, you don’t have to wear a vole costume. We call our fabulous volunteers “voles” for short and they are the lifeblood of Faversham Fringe. Without their help, we wouldn’t be able to put on so many shows in so many venues.
Our fabulous Voles help out with all sorts, from getting the venues ready, selling tickets, and seating the audience, to shaking donation buckets and giving out flyers. As a Vole, you can choose which things you help out with and when you help. Even if you can only help for two hours over the entire month of Faversham Fringe, that will help us enormously.
If you’d like to volunteer your services as a Faversham Fringe Vole, please email us here. You’ll get to see shows for free and enjoy the camaraderie of the Faversham Fringe team. If you’ve got special skills, like being handy with a camera or a wizard on a mixing deck, we’d especially love to hear from you.
If you are a fan of Whose Line Is It Anyway? and you can get to Folkestone this coming Thursday, then you will love Flock Improv's latest show, Gulls On Film! Flock Improv has a residency at the amazing venue - you can sit in an old waltzer or a ghost train! - and Faversham Fringe Director, Ribs Norman is a founder member. And don't worry - if you can't get there, Flock Improv is performing at Faversham Fringe as well.
That's all for now. Hope to see you at one or more of the shows!
